The PRCRS Communications Director will:
- Maintain the CJMP.ca website and post at least one blog post per week;
- Promote CJMP online to ensure engagement of both members, the general public, and programmers; mixing content to reach different audiences;
- Update the CJMP website to ensure accuracy, timeliness and aesthetic appeal ;
- Interface with On-Air Promotions Director to help assure that sponsors are credited on the website, and to ensure the web forms are properly functioning
- Work with the Secretary to maintain an accurate CJMP Calendar of programs and events (incl. meetings)
- Work with Music and Spoken word director to maintain a proper schedule of programs that is accessible in various formats;
- Ensure proper integration and further expansion of all of CJMP’s social networks;
- Keep clear records on info like passwords, etc. and maintain proper backups of all web content;
- Ensure that CJMP’s audio streaming is functional; Interface with Operations Director related to proper function of the website and social networks
- Produce graphics and be responsible for photos/ graphics on the site;
- Working with the PRCRS Online Content Policy, determine the best course of action related to timing and blog post content and form;
- Relate information and progress on the online front to the rest of PRCRS Directors via a bi-weekly report presented at board meetings;
- Handle correspondence related to the website and Social Networks;
- Maintain CJMP’s Facebook and Twitter presence (in addition to several other administrators), to ensure fresh, pithy and interesting ;
- Liaise with the POM-POM-FUN team to ensure that fundraising and special events will be properly promoted;
- Help the Society’s secretary to maintain membership records;
- Produce reports and present information to the public as needed related to communications success – this includes a report at public gatherings/meetings.
- Manage and initiate online fundraising technical aspects (PayPal) and interface with POM-POM-FUN and Treasurer related to this.
Time commitment: c. 4-5 hours per week, plus PRCRS Board meeting times.
