Job Description:
The PRCRS Board member engaged as the CJMP Volunteer Engagement Director will be tasked with:
- Liaising with Promotions-Outreach-Membership Committee (POM-POM-Fun)
- Attending all POM-POM-Fun meetings and if needed, co-chairing these meetings
- Taking and publishing minutes from POM-POM-Fun meetings
- Promote CJMP to community groups and sectors such as seniors, youth, etc.
- Attend and represent CJMP at all monthly Powell River Emergency Preparedness (PEP) meetings and prepare brief monthly reports on this for CJMP Board meetings
- Liaise with all volunteers to maintain good relations and ensure that volunteers are treated fairly and that they know their rights and responsibilities
- Maintain a register of volunteer hours and donations
- Engage and recruit volunteers at community events
- Work with all teams in relation to volunteer recruitment for events and drives
- Advocate for volunteers in terms of incentives and rewards
Time commitment: Approx. 4 hours per week + PRCRS board meeting times.
