Sometime in the spring of 2011 it became clear that the Promotions/Outreach/Membership Team (POM-POM) needed to merge with the Fundraising Team. So minutes up until this time are for the two formerly separate teams.

I’d like to add “Immanence Magazine integration” to the agenda and speak to how both forms of independent media can work together for promotion and funding.
We’re willing to give CJMP a 2 page spread to promote the broadcast schedule and a spotlight on a few shows in every quarterly issue of Immanence Magazine.
Also, if CJMP buys a Business Membership in the Powell River Sustainability Stakeholders rewards program (non-profit rate of only $40/annum), all members of the PRCRS will get PRSS cards for 25%-off the regular rate ($15/yr, full price $20/yr). This will give PRCRS members tangible benefits for joining and hopefully make it easier to increase membership.
The PRSS was designed to fully support independent media in Powell River, and we are willing to brainstorm how to further integrate the program with CJMP.

Thanks, Corey! And congratulations on being our very firstest commentator.
I’ll definitely make sure that this information gets passed along to the people at the meeting this evening, unless you plan to be here yourself. But connecting Immanence and the PRSS and CJMP is definitely something we should be thinking about and working on. So much synergy waiting to be unleashed!
